Browser/System Requirements
The Inspectioneering Training Platform is a modern web application that runs entirely in your browser. There's no app to install, and it works on desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
Supported Browsers
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
- Google Chrome
- Safari
These browsers update automatically, so in practice you just need to keep your browser up to date. Internet Explorer is not supported.
Browser Settings
For the platform to work correctly, your browser must have:
- JavaScript enabled
- Cookies enabled (we only use first-party cookies to keep you signed in; third-party cookies are not required)
- localStorage enabled (used for your cart and site preferences)
- TLS 1.2 or higher (enabled by default in all supported browsers)
Video Playback and Network Access
Course videos are streamed through Vimeo. If videos won't load but the rest of the site works, your network is likely blocking Vimeo. This is common on corporate networks with strict firewalls.
Ask your IT department to allow access to:
- vimeo.com and *.vimeo.com
- *.vimeocdn.com
Operating Systems
Any operating system that can run a current version of the browsers above will work, including:
- Windows 10 or later
- macOS (the last two major releases)
- Most Linux distributions
- iOS/iPadOS and Android (current versions)
We recommend keeping your operating system updated to the latest release available from your vendor.
Mobile Devices
No app is needed. The platform is fully responsive and works in the mobile browser on both smartphones and tablets. Just visit the site, log in, and your courses, progress, and certificates are all available.
Internet Connection
A stable broadband connection is recommended for video playback. If videos stutter or buffer frequently, try closing other bandwidth-heavy applications or switching to a wired or stronger Wi-Fi connection.
